Vaasa has its own airport and you can fly directly to Vaasa (VAA) from Helsinki and Stockholm (about 1 hour).

You can also fly to Helsinki (the capital of Finland) and take the train from Helsinki airport to Vaasa. The travel time with the train is 3,5–4 hours. Take the commuter train from the airport to Tikkurila and change to the Intercity or Pendolino train to Vaasa. You can buy a ticket for the whole journey online or in vending machines at the airport. The train time tables can be found at www.vr.fi.
